How, how is your love life taking a turn for the better if you don't even talk to the person the one time you meet him?

Why would you discuss the case with the crafters you bring for a retreat? Why would you act all surprised if the police asks you to stay inside and stay safe?

This is an actual line,

Seriously? I honestly don't know why I'm reading at this point, just to probably find out who did it. Skimming is more like it

What the absolute %#@@! A person organizing a crafts retreat doesn't want to stop to chitchat with someone who paid to come to the retreat? The characters in this book are god awful honestly.

Ummm, the writing here is so bad. How does this book have such positive reviews? Both the characters are acting stupid!!

And it really feels like the first book and the second book were written by 2 different people. I honestly am NOT enjoying the 2 person POV here, especially since we're beginning to guess how the other person is behaving. It's a little grating to read. And Cora's reactions are just absurd. Literally.

I don't know, this is what happens when you have lead characters that lead with their hearts and not their heads, and not in a good way.

Quick read and I was just reminded on HOW bad it was that the author kept giving Jane's POV in the book and how that POV just didn't sit right with me.

Another horrendous update. Stupid Jane says that she wouldn't have trusted the missing babysitter with her daughter if she knew she was depressed. This is actually the kind of thinking that forces individuals with mental health issues into even worse situations. I'm so mad.

There have been games out there that have moved me and actually made me cry, and to write them all off as violent and sexist is the equivalent of saying all books are 18th century snooze fests. I'm honestly so pissed right now, and this legitimately ruined this whole book for me. Maybe I'm not the target demographic of the author, but I am a reader, and trust me, after this, I will never pick up another one of her books. She sounds like a complete idiot to write off one of the BIGGEST technological and entertainment advancements of all time. I'm so irritated right now, can you tell

Yes, I get it, computer/video games aren't for everyone but to write them all off like that is fucking ridiculous. There are so many games out there that are beautiful works of art, that capture the best the humanity and tell amazing stories, much better than this piece of crap book HONESTLY.

HELLO. I am furious right now. This author must be some kind of outdated, old fashioned technophobe. I'm just going to quote this statement right here: "That didn't surprise Cora. Who would want to sit behind all day and play or design games? Violent and sexist games, to boot. What kind of people want to "play" at that?"
