The first chapter is sort of an overview of the racial capitalist, settler colonial histories of South Africa and Palestine/Israel, with particular attention to their neoliberalization and ensuing expansion of carcerality in the late 20th century. The second chapter digs more deeply into the political economy of a specific South African township.

Can already tell that this is gonna be a banger. It's giving Ruth Wilson Gilmore vibes.
