The most impressive thing about the book is it's writing style. The philosophical views expressed in my opinion have as much valuable content as poorly argued or problematic content.

An ideal Daoist sage would face natural death and loss of loved one with no emotional turmoil.

But seemingly, would use none of this strength to challenge oppression or do good for those around them.

This is easily one of the most bizarre books I have ever attempted to read, and I don't mean that in a bad way.

彼是，方生之说也。枢始得其环中，以应无穷。唯达者知通为一。

其发若机栝，其司是非之谓也；其留如诅盟，其守胜之谓也。近死之心，莫使复阳也。夫吹万不同，而使其自己也，咸其自取，怒者其谁邪？

I've read the Inner and Outer chapters and have arrived at the Miscellaneous.

The theme of the Course 道 is well groomed, and yet I gleam something new upon each passing... like a line of monkeys foraging for fleas.

I've got to talk about this for a second. This is just so good.

The mind of this book is a river of riddles! Almost every sentence can stand on their own to flabbergast. It will stop your heart, race in your mind, giggle in your chest, and drop your soul into a hole that you could forever fall into. I am such a fool for this!

This stunning piece of history is the living art of virtuosity. As Confucius said, "Virtuosity is undermined by getting a name for it."

To name how these words resonate would undermine it. Experiencing it is an ever giving journey that can change the course of one's life.
