Status Updates From Willing Target

Andrea is so worried about getting her career off the ground that she has unprotected sex. Twice. Yeah, a baby will fit nicely in those plans. I'm trying really hard to like her but she's so dumb.

WTF Mitch? Why would you push her towards Dillon? I mean seriously, that's dumb enough...you guys are on a damn mission here. WORKING. She probably shouldn't be sleeping with anyone, especially the person they're working for. But also, probably not a good idea because, you know, she's impersonating the guys sister. She doesn't want to make Karli look bad, so making it look like she's sleeping with her brother? No.

I like how Andrea automatically assumes that Mitch wasn't treating her like a "capable ranger" because she's a woman. I think it's more likely that she hasn't proven herself yet and has screwed up several times already. In that line of work, if you try to be a hotshot you'll get yourself (and possibly your coworkers) killed. She is really annoying me.

I love how she rushes right in the midst of things when she hears a commotion. Way to risk blowing cover and botching the whole operation, just so she doesn't feel left out. No wonder they were worried about putting her on this assignment; she has moments of brilliance, and then she does something completely idiotic.

Andrea's like, "Oh no, I can't think of Dillon in a sexual way, he has a bad reputation!" I think the main fear would be that he would return that attraction...I mean any guy that would want to sleep with someone who looks exactly like his sister has issues.

Just a good read and that’s really good, after having read some amateurish writing recently.
And I'm enjoying having NFL players that are jerks (“Damien’s head was already bigger than Texas”) and not the usual nice guys (in romance).
I like the tortured hero so far, and the heroine too.

So far I'm not really feeling the characters. But I really like the writing.
