Status Updates From The Grip of It

James asks any person who sits at the bars he’s at what they know about the house. Everyone has a different story.
The son was the only child, there was no son, just father, mother & the girl, the sister died & the town ignored it, the sister was lost & never found, The family lived in their house then the one next door, the girl took care of her brother, they were lovers not siblings, also both at the same time.

“It feels more like something in the space between James and me, like an electricity that’s been turned on since we’ve taken up this new life, something that buzzes at its highest frequency when we’re both home, together.”

Museum incident w James creates trouble for the pair. He thinks Julie is trying to retaliate @him claiming she’s stuck in some room of the house she doesn’t know how to get out of

Something is brewing! The atmosphere turns tense during dinner when Julie’s stepmother,anxious, talks about her unsettling night. The mood shifts dramatically when both she &Julie reveal they heard strange, animalistic breathing sounds. After her parents leave Julie &James remain in the house to process everything. They recreate the conditions of the mysterious sound lying together in bed

Up until this point some good atmosphere is created w towns ppl. The hardware store encounter was awk as the girl couldn’t answer what’s fun to do around. The ice cream shop being completely empty was creepy then it’s suddenly closed. The neighbor Rolf is straight up rude.

Things are slowly cooking but I must say not fully invested yet.

Super intriguing. Kind of heartbreaking. The horror is in the pain is in the horror. This might be a big one for me this year...
