This is wrap up part of the book, but doesn't explain the title. Riley went to O'Roarke. Rory is co-chief with Hugh, who stopped potions. Siobhan will stay with Rory. Still have triple death vision.

A was dosed with belladonna to offset henbane. It took a couple of days but it worked. Tiege's part of amulet buried below belladonna. She healed K, herself and the baby. O'Brien accepted her as nobility and all talk of curse being gone. She stayed bedridden a month and stopped using magic until child is born. Uneasy feeling about birth.

Donhoul finds priest with his demon in open daylight ruins and kills him. Demon killed when Lugh sends fireballs to abby.

A evades Rory and guards. Hides in priests room. Finds letter to priest from Tiege. Watches bouts from solar. K injured during first 2 bouts, can't kill uncle, but fought to exhaustion. Steward son comes after K with dagger and A yells warning. Uncle throws sword at steward son, A sends pack of dogs. A runs to K and shot with poisoned Arrow. She starts losing baby when back in time. A dying.

A ordered to dungeon. Rory killed while trying to protect A ask he promised K during the challenge. Priest & steward's son work with demon to kill her and take her powers. She moved backward through time to AM before bouts.

Rory found the marriage listing of Mara and Tiege, but it was marked up. A spell revealed the original. Killian discovered Hugh knew about child before he did and Hugh was calling Alainn a whore. Killian increased challenge to the death. After fighting K&A made up.

They return mostly healed. Challenges put off a day. Family in uproar. Siobhan planning to return with her father. Riley announced he will be head of his grandfather's clan.

She took off her amulet and his amulet to transport them.

Alainn is severely wounded and can't heal him without cutting her skin. She tries to transport them to the spring together. After several unsuccessful attempts, she joins with him to get there.

After the honeymoon, Alainn attempted to stop the evil priest from beating 2 small children and got beaten herself with his cane. He knocked her unconscious and her magic took over. She awakened with her knife at the priest's throat and she had been beaten more. She was sent to the dungeons and ordered 5 lashes which Killian took in her steed. The lashes are vicious & the O'Brien knows of marriage.

First fight at end of honeymoon over the upcoming duel with his uncle and the prior challengers. He won't allow her to give him a magical advantage. He feels emasculated when she won't let him protect her.

Alainn is more powerful in the god realm. She transported herself about several times and released the 4 druid dragons and the hellhounds. She also apparently released the defeated gods and there may be war in the god realm now. She has been returned to the human realm and has begun honeymoon with Killian. Lugh still bound to protect her, but can't cross into human realm. He's weak against iron.

Analyzing the title, I can only assume that in this book they look for and find Tiege and that he is a chieftain. It is not her child since she is having a boy. It does start off on the absurd with the God realm and so forth.

Starts with Alainn hiding from severe weather and fire because her God guardian is trying to force her to show her powers and she refuses.

Ugh. So disappointed in the severe downward turn this series has taken. It's a struggle to push though this. :( How did my cool witchy fantasy series tun into soft core porn with a whiny protagonist? Literally a third through the book and NOTHING has happened except a honeymoon. Sex is great and all, but come on.

Ugh. REALLY liked the first two books of this series, and was excited since the 2nd ended with "this is about to get way more fantasy/mythology involved" overtures, but this books is disappointing so far. So much so that I'm literally skimming it. :( MC has turned into a petulant whiner, and despite the cool creatures, the "plot" is meandering at best. :(
