Was a tough read, but interesting. Etta doesn't know she can travel through time, like her mother, who kept that secret. Her life suddenly changes with a bang, Her Watcher is mortally wounded, and Etta is out of modern NY city, now on a sailing ship, taken prisoner by an unknown relative. One of the crew becomes her champion, also a traveler, told to bring her to the relative. they, are attracted to each other.
