I'm struggling. I don't think I have the mental capacity for angst today.... maybe I need to switch to something fluffy.

The angst is horrible. Prisoner of war, PTSD, death in both families, betrayal, deceit, Wickham... OMG!! I had to put the story down just to catch my breath. I feel awful, the author is taking ODC down to the lowest ebb of their lives and I don't like that. I cannot see any redeeming features of what is left. How can they possibly survive this??? I'm gonna be mad as hell if this doesn't turn out right.

Mr. Bennet & Mr. Darcy were friends, their daughters and his younger son Fitzwilliam were friends. When Mr. Darcy died, his eldest son Stanley inherited. Young Darcy went to India to fight, and after a battle, became a prisoner of war. Mr. Bennet has now died and Mr. Collins and son William have arrived at Longbourn and the ladies have two weeks to leave. Greedy bastard.

Excellent and unique even if it drags in spots. An editor would have helped this book.
