Birches pg 182 may be my favorite poem ever i want to read and re read and perform aloud it is so gorgeous embodies so much feeling

The Oven Bird pg 180 an interesting lil read making me think of changing of seasons and feels among such. idea of gratitude over thanksgiving turkey when it seems to me frost loves the spring, that there is most to be grateful for then so pondering n simmering on that want to delve my thoughts deeper

Bond And Free pg 181 amazing read also much to consider in lovee va thought prioritizing either or both?

read three poems finishing out North of Boston, my favorite of the three being The Self Seeker, my favorite line from such,
“You make that sound as if it wasn’t so
With everything. What we live by we die by.” (pg 150)

After Apple Picking (pg 123) reminds me of the sleepiness after a good hardworking day or period of time
it also reminds me of the feeling where seasonal depression starts floating its way into ones life in bits as the weather gets cooler sky gets darker

A Servant to Servants starting pg 118 was a fantastic read with many stanzas n lines sticking out, would type here but altogether its quite relatable personally and too much idk if goodreads will allow me to put them all, def want to write down and save somewhere as the acknowledgment around some of these thoughts of madness was out so beautifully

“the fruit mixed with water in layers of leaves,
like two kinds of jewels, a vision for thieves.”

The Black Cottage grew in me more and more the further i got and i loved the simply fantastic imagery in the end. 2 lines rlly struck a chord in me and def want to go back reread and analyze. specifically luv lines 18/19 on pg 111 and 2/7 on pg 113!

i wasnt vibing with A Hundred Collars until closer to the end of poem, hutnindid find it intriguing and do want to reread analyze! inlikednthe reoccurring themes of fear and social connection vs isolation and the two foiled mens opinions on such

The Mountain on pg 95 is another rly sick piece sticking w me, def rereading to analyze further, felt quite personal to me tho need to investigate why

i liked this conversational like piece, The Death of the Hired Man. I was iffy until the 20th or 21st stanza,
“…Poor Silas, so concerned for other folk, and nothing to look backward to with pride, and nothing to look forward to with hope, so now and never sny different.” not sure if discussing the hired man or couple hirees, but i feel p descriptive of long term depression in some ways, describes the stagnancy

only two poems into north of boston, i did find Mending Wall a really nice addition to A Tuft of Flowers!
