I was hoping that, when confronted with a serious bad guy, the heroine would realize that a human body is made of more than 70% water and her being able to magically manipulate water… well, you get how there shouldn't even be a contest.
As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the biggest plotholes in this series (there are many others, but this one really stands out).
