Status Updates From Wendell Berry and Higher Ed...

I think this book likely makes more sense when one has read Berry’s fiction and can understand the ideas the authors are drawing on in their original setting. Nevertheless, I am still finding it interesting — specifically have appreciated Berry’s ideas of hierarchy and tradition — and am looking forward to seeing how I feel about the book as a whole once we’re finished with it.

I am sometimes frustrated by the authors’ lack of precision, but the ideas are very helpful and good. They have had a significant influence on me already.
