Status Updates From Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ

A slow but beautifully written read. I’m around page 50 and have struggled to stay engaged, but I’m enjoying the rich historical detail. The story begins around the birth of Christ, introducing the three wise men and their backstories. Wallace’s descriptions are so vivid that you truly feel transported to the time period. It’s definitely a deep, detailed read, and I’m curious to see how the story develops.

Whew! I don’t actually know how this is all going to unfold but I’m anxious already. Some of these descriptions are so beautifully written. I need to go back and copy these down.
