Ok that one was quite good.’Sir Edmund Orme’ was spooky! Well paced and even a bit romantic at times, not much though. I enjoy the increased characterisation of the women in this one. Less atmosphere through prose than the first two though.

Entirely lukewarm on the first two stories here. The first being a tad lacklustre with an ending I found much too heavy handed. The second being ok but ten pages too long and overbearing its ideas on religion and paganism. Extremely funny to frame Ancient Greek and Roman religions as Pagan, very interesting to observe 19th cent. opinions on that. The mood and atmosphere of the landscape was very good, I’ll say.
