I'm honestly trying to figure out who is supposed to be who. My working theory is that Liam is reincarnated in Caleb and Alexander in Dominic. This explains the fair of darkness, instant attraction and fateful meeting. And the book's behaviour. But that doesn't explain the dreams or the resemblance to Isaac. I'm enjoying this. It's a lot of fun to read. Anything that keeps be guessing always is.
