Status Updates From Meditations

I am already astounded by the deep invocations of thoughts in the first few pages of this book. These meditations are trivial, but they force me to ask questions about how i feel about the way I move through life. Meditation 7: "From Rusticus I recieved the impression that my character required improvement and discipline." Do I move through my day accepting I am flawed and understanding I must always look to improve?
