just started this -- on finding it to put on goodreads im realising it has pretty horrible reviews but honestly im liking it so far. we'll see. there's a lot of complaints over the language he uses in this book which, ironically, seems to be missing the forest for the trees...

There’s a lot on managing “symptoms” and encourages the use of medication or CBT to lesson emotional reactions.
Talks about learning to make eye contact because it is expected ie. masking - says this is positive for him and that because we live in a neurotypical world it is important to make adjustments for a happier life. True, but masking may not be a positive adjustment for all.
