The Tapestried Chamber by Sir Walter Scott: a nice classic ghost story with some unnecessary filler moments, but still pretty nice overall

The Vampyre by John Polidori: the first vampire story!(?) a nice gothic horror short story, that leaves a bit to be desired. I wish we could've gotten a little more details into Lord Ruthven's seductions and such, but for the first (?) vampire story ever, I can't be expecting too much.

The Sandman by E.T.A. Hoffman: that was so good!! the dreamy and nightmarish atmosphere throughout the story fit so well with the themes and events, I was so caught up until the very last line. really really good.
