I'm afraid we may be too far into the book with too little happening, but 1/4th is a lot, I suppose. Still, feels like the narrative is just going in circles. Even if characters do that, the narrative should not.

Prose reads like a dialect, which is interesting and personality-filled, but does force me to reread lines sometimes because I am thick. How old is Dorothy? I can't tell at all. She reads like an 8 yo but that doesn't seem right (yes I am thick omg)
