Status Updates From One Cut (Simon True)

Right now the boys are on trial and Mike was there. He was admitting that he was selling and smoking weed. Jason said when he walked into Mike McLaren's fort, he saw Mike on top of his little brother Micha elbowing him in the back of the head. He and Micha are good friends. Mike says he was just trying to scare Micha and not hurt him. Jason was stabbing Mike in the arm a couple of times to scare Mike off of Micha.

This book is good. at first, I did not understand it. This book is about kids where these kids are in a gang in California and they go rob a friend's fort and somehow it ends up being a murder case. They have to go to court and face a whole lot of trial cases.

I like this book but it isn't a favorite because I feel like it's just going on and on about the trial. I do find it intriguing though because I want to find out who killed Jimmy Farris. I know there was a fight and who was involved, but I don't know who did the stabbing.

One Cut is a book that I think anyone could get into because it is about these boys who are getting into serious trouble. Jimmy Farris was stabbed one night by a group of boys but there are many different assumptions about what actually happened. So far, the reader is figuring out who the characters are and what's happening.
