Ok, Lily is starting to have some compassion for Deedra

This is an understandable reaction from Lily's standpoint, but women don't deserve to be assaulted or murdered for any reason. Deedras characterization by the other characters and by Lily suggests she got what she deserved. Does the author think that too?

Lily Bard does have strong boundaries and let's people know what she will accept and what she won't accept quite clearly.

"A typical Deedra selection, the suit was just a bit too tight, a smidge too short, and a half-inch too low in the neckline." For who? Lily Bard was always a prickly and judgemental character, but how many ways can she call Deedra a whore?
