I understand why alternating perspectives is used to help build tension, but changing perspectives in the middle of the climax of the story makes me want to throw shit. Just let the story play out, I dont give a shit about the political machinations happening on the other side of the city while the FMC is being actively attacked for fucks sake.

I'm bored? Im interested in the dark magic, but the evil boob scene was just disgusting. I don't know if I really like either of the main characters, and the sexy scenes are immediately followed by the eld gore. It's very slow, which isn't bad! Im just currently bored. I got to chapter 5 and groaned because the chapters are so long, and I feel like I've barely started the book.
