FF thru his canoe trip down the Teche as it was stressful and uninformative.

Upper Teche grew cotton, lower Teche grew sugar cane. At times, great floods ruined crops and farms communities infrastructure along the Teche. In the early 1800s it was called st martinsville with an “s” but after the war the “s” was removed, no one seems to know why. The name Teche is also obscure.

Ery detailed description of the water way and history of surrounding communities. But honestly, if you publish a Cajun/louisiana audiobook, pick a narrator who is comfortable with French.
