I've found that I have a penchant for selecting books 600-800 pages in length... While it allows a thoroughly fleshed out tale, it also slows my 'books in a year' progress, haha.

Nevertheless, this is a solid book so far, well written and cohesive in structure. I am immeasurably happy that it is the first in a long series.

I love how he calls the men brave for wanting to dispatch him because they say all the horrible things they think him capable of and arrive with axes and pitch forks.
