Heavy metals in your body are called trace metals. Iron is the highest per gram metal found in your body. Iron is used to store and transport oxygen. About 1% of a hemoglobin is iron; even though it might sound little, without iron, hemoglobin would not exist. In males, only way to get iron deficient anemia is if it leaks away with blood somehow.

Anemia is the lack of red blood cell mass - not the lack of red blood cells. Body reacts to anemia by adding more water into the blood. The skin and kidneys sacrifice blood supply for other organs for a person with anemia. A person with anemia has a faster heart rate. This does not mean higher blood pressure as the body adjusts to a faster heart rate by expanding the arteries.
