One of the benefits of being a Banshee is that you cannot die when a monster truck lands on your head. Instead, the squadron of Banshees pinned inside the flattened cab had squirmed like worms out any orifice they could seek out on the floor of the truck. They scattered from the wreck like a murder of crows flapping away to their next omen.

“Got a newspaper?” Vincent Death asked Cowboy Death.
“What in tarnation are you talking about boy?” Cowboy Death asked.
“Never mind. I just need you to get me to a bathroom. I’ve gotta go real bad.”
“Bathroom?” Cowboy Death let a guffaw out. “Deaths don’t have bodily functions anymore. You don’t have to go to the bathroom. You're just scared shitless is what you are!”

Vincent Death had no idea what the hell he was going to do. It was his first day on the job and already he’d lost his first charge to his ex-wife, a Banshee. He wasn’t sure what the policy on that one was but he was pretty sure they were going to frown upon that sort of thing.
