OMG. What policeman worth his salt gets distracted by a train when he's still ending in a train station!

I think the penny might finally have dropped but now he's suddenly not sharing info with his partner. Is this that I'm surprised at the big reveal later? Cos I hate to say it but I think I had this worked out about 40% ago.

Erm, Mr Crack Detective. I think you might have just let your suicide victim walk of the boat. Also do you think you might have got a bit more information if you'd continued with your alias for a bit longer.

River is very overt. I wonder if he may be a honey trap...

Oh please, Alan. You're a big guy and besides you're a police officer, you could guess the rest by yourself. Do Heath has to explain every single detail to you?! Stop asking "WHY". Really.

That's how you look like if your long planed fishing weekend with your secret lover has to be cancelled. Because of work.

I've two main problems with the book - books seems a little too heavy-handed on 'other plot lines' than the mystery one (and it's heavy-handed there as well - at least I assume so, I don't know if what I 'know' is correct).
For a guy supposedly investigating and stuff, he sure spends a lot of time eyeballing everyone with a dick and rating them. And he and other gay guy in teh book seem like gay stereotypes.

Oh my gosh, no words for how invested I am already. First person is not my favourite narration, but I love being in Heath's head.
