Shocked I never read this, it's an English major classic. Pretty quick and easy read considering how it's super short. I mostly agree with it though I honestly tend not to like a lot of modernist writings which go so abstract they're hard to read as stories (Mrs. Dalloway, The Burrow).

We do not come to write better; all that we can be said to do is to keep moving, now a little in this direction, now in that, but with a circular tendency should the whole course of the track be viewed from a sufficiently lofty pinnacle.
