Enjoyed the history of the Pacific Coast Leahue and the push for Japanese baseball. I grew up in the 1960's not knowing Lefty O'doul as a player or manager. I knew he had a bar/restaurant in San Francisco and maybe even went. I remember reading of some of his records. The book gave more details of his interactions with familiar baseball names such as Babe Ruth, Joe Dimaggio and Ted Williams among others.

I ordered this book last September. No idea why it took over half a year to arrive, but I’ve been looking forward to reading it. Play ball! ⚾️
