Nietzsche remains one of the authors I'd rather read than any other. He is challenging. I must understand him if I am to defend myself, even my belief system. In this work, what is stunning is how he sets Christ apart from the church. His Christ is exactly what one sees from the Gospels only that the reason behind his death is inverted. He believes the disciples misunderstood the teachings of Jesus! Especially Paul.
