This book ain't hitting for me. I love the first 3 books in this series but the twist in this one for one of the main characters is just not good. It completely cheapens the character and ruins him from the first 3. The rest of the book after 500 pages feels like literally nothing has happened.

They made love and they shared breath and body. It was tenderness and desperationand clinging and resignation and acceptance. It was joy at what they had and sorrow at its brevity. It was Golden heartbeats of pure unthinking pleasure pierced by iron arrows of grief.
