This was a free book I downloaded to Kindle some time ago. I was looking for something different to read so I started this, with the expectation of deleting it after a chapter or two. But it's actually quite interesting. The author had access to a diary kept by a real executioner so the story is an apt depiction of the life led by such men. Very interesting.
