Notes:
(1) I've already read and assessed issue #10 on its own, you can see my review and update here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
(2) I can understand not wanting to end this book on a total downer, but moving the very chipper and madcap Christmas issue to directly follow such a bleak story arc isn't just bad continuity, it's too drastic a tonal shift.

Notes:
(1) Okay! This arc started passable, got bad and ended appallingly!
- Everyone here looks weak and pathetic! Everyone!
- I don't care about Brooklyn! Why make this so accursedly regional?!
(2) We get a total of three editor's notes directing us to read entire volumes!
- The message being: in order to understand this story fully you have to read the ENTIRE New 52 run!

Notes:
(1) The second issue here's a real mess. The only bright spots are the guest artists, which at least offers something interesting/different.
- Dream sequences are one of my personal pet peeves. Here, they just seem weird for the sake of being weird.
(2) We get an editor's note directing readers to the first New 52 volume.
- That's right, not an issue, a whole volume!

Notes:
(1) Harley and Ivy get invited to a resort in the Bahamas which, to their utter shock, happens to be a nudist colony.
- There's literally no plot beyond that. We witness their vacation as they talk about nudity and flirt to the cusp of lesbianism.
- There's also sex puns, LOTS of sex puns.
(2) I do appreciate the continuity of Harley's head still being partly shaved.

Notes:
(1) Boy, I hope this one's better than the first volume! That was just a real slog and chore to read.
- The fun of this series is that it's a bawdy superhero farce that plays with, but doesn't affect, main universe continuity. However, the only cameo we got was Poison Ivy and the only real nod to a greater DC universe was a superhero fetish club. Both minimally used.
