Just read some excellent points about the systemic difficulties of assessment focused curriculum. Ings points to how students, parents (and teachers!) are so wrapped in having a summative structure & that if you strip that away and give autonomy to students, they can feel lost and without. He argues that the key to someone being creative is best done outside the bounds of assessment.
