I can not imagine being the first female explorer of the Arctic. Back in the 1930s, this woman was just doing her thing, but was being judged by the assholes whose trip she was paying for for wearing clothes too flashy, for being too bossy, too eloquent, TOO ANYTHING. Because it wasn't darning socks. I can't imagine how Louise Arner Boyd even went through with all her travels. HOW did she stand the men?!
