Dee remembers going to church with Don (her 1st husband) and Nelly.
Dee sang alto in the choir. Good memories for her.
And Becky (Bobby’s wife) has the faith in God in their marriage.

I like the short chapters with appropriate Bible verses. After the murder we readers get a glimpse into the lives of four of the jurors: Abigail (older actress, single) Ken (aging playboy), D Kelly (busy mom, wife of Dr.) and
Bobby (28y husband, father of 2.5 kids and working two jobs).

Overall I enjoyed this book. Some parts were a bit predictable but for the most part it was a good read. When I read about people lying, covering up things, and letting others take the fall when you know they are not guilty made me a bit uneasy like in the recent Netflix series "When They See Us." Still, the author made it compelling enough to keep me reading. There were enough red herrings to make me twitchy. LOL.

One of the best things about Nancy Moser's books is that they have stories within stories. This book is no different. They also are like mysteries: they keep you guessing. Once again, this book lives up to the expectation. :)

So far, this book lives up to John 3:16 (also by Nancy Moser)--interesting, gripping, intriguing, and mysterious. And that's only on page 6! :)
