The deceptions of a life I have never lived had me genuinely disgusted and feeling the ick of the twelve-year-old child hanging amongst old men because her friend took her. I felt the hate and sadness mixed together for a stepdad who doesn't love me, who has also never felt love himself. The author has an incredible way of putting right there, in her life as I get to look though the glass and stay clean myself.

Really interesting so far. For a while, I didn't know the gender of the author and I really related to that. I like the way the early parts jump around just like early memories tend to.
