I’m finding myself captivated on certain pages far more than others. The writing throughout this book has been inconsistent.

Interesting story of an old boxing fight or black vs white. There's a good amount of racism, which I wasn't really ready for lol but makes sense given the time period.

Been meaning to read this for a while. Found a used copy at Powell's. Great history of the early 1900 (fictionalized) with Buck Weaver of the BlackSox as a primary narrator paired with a newspaperman. Great fun and enough real life characters to make it real.
