Having duly read 30K words (by my own estimation, later verified), in my own naïveté, I thought myself reasonably progressed in this narrative. Thus one can perhaps imagine my chagrin to discover I had evidently managed but a meager sip from this monstrous chalice! Originally published as a web serial over the course of five years, this novel does indeed appear to challenge yours truly to a similar trajectory.
