Eher eine geistreiche Wissenschafts-Satire als ein Spannungsroman, voll von Seitenhieben für Gebildete. Anscheinend gab es auch schon früher Anläufe die mathematischen Konventionen abzuschaffen, der unlängst erfolgte Vorstoß die Lösung 1+1=2 als einzig richtige im Unterricht abzuschaffen, weil es sich um die Mathematik des ALTEN WEISSEN MANNES handelt, ist also gar nicht neu, nur mal wieder frisch angestrichen.

This is not SF, much more philosophical.. not that SF can't be philosophical, but the dialogue with the Egyptian historians was really interesting.
Can't say I'm laughing out loud, but there are also some good jokes in here, too.

Easy to read.
There was an elaborate "frame" of EF writing to H. G. Wells, and getting a nasty response from his secretary, and then getting the rest of the story from the reporter who 'kept his head on the table' during the first tale of the time traveler.
So, I'm just starting it, so to speak.
