Status Updates From Criminal Intent

This story has been dragging for awhile. No movement on the suspense or mystery front and the romance is a little bit boring. Probably should have DNFed this book, but I'm far enough along now, that I will just finish it.

So far, this is a typical romantic suspense where the woman is on the run, has stopped in a small town, and meets the handsome local sheriff. The mystery of why she is running seems like it might be interesting, and the sheriff has baggage of his own. Definitely worth continuing.

Chapter Challenge:
The prologue sets up an exciting book about a mom on the run with her daughter because of something she found. At least three people including her husband have been killed because of something incriminating she showed them, and now they're dead. Great beginning and I definitely want to give this one a try.
