Okay, so, so far, I feel this book assumes way more of a holistic understanding of the game than I have, haha. Kind of on hold until I watch some more games and watching more games is on hold until I watch some more Howls and Growls...

I'm not enjoying what I thought I would about this book. Very much dug the principles of the fastbreak and the open floor offense, from George Karl.

I've just finished the chapter about the triangle offense. One day (not today), I'll get how that thing works.

I was looking forward to Phil Johnson's chapter about screening. It was a little light on information and heavy on play drawing, but I do know every screen type now.

Some really beginner stuff in Stan Van Gundy's chapter. I mean, I know what a fucking jab step is and how it is used in a game. It could've expanded on the off-ball movement too and used some visual references.

I wanted a book about Xs and Os to pass time before regular season, but it's a little more than that. I like it nonetheless because most of my knowledge is self-taught and I'm filling the gaps here.
