Status Updates From Lahore in the Time of the Raj

It reads more like a thesis than a real story of a city. Till now all there's been like there was this building here, built by that person, under the patronage of that empire. This building was built with this community and so on. It just feels like a book of facts with no narrative or story and it doesn't give the city a character.
