It seemed like an interesting premise, but I didn’t expect the dynamics of Vree and Bannon’s relationship, especially what it seems to be that Vree wants. 👀 I’ll keep reading though.

Moving on to the second book in this volume. Not wanting to ruin what happens in Book 1 (Sing the Four Quarters) I didn’t read the summary of Book 2 (Fifth Quarter).
It seems Book 2 is new characters and not a continuation of Book 1. 👀 This will be interesting. 📚

The IMPLICATIONS of so many bits in this novel are so subtle that it's like, wait what wait that is HILARIOUS. A very funny book, but you gotta pay attention, cause Tanya Huff is DRY and I AM ALL ABOUT THAT LIFE.

RUN back to Stasya. Go back to your girlfriend. She is GREAT. This guy is fine but for goodness sake I'll puke if you say you're in love.

Oh NO!
This is doing a great job of people actually getting the wrong end of the stick because they physically can't share information and their judgement is based on the information and prejudices they already possess. Like well done. I'm anxious.

"You do not own your children," the village Head told Nadina, her voice harsh.
