This is getting impossible to even want to finish.

Read this yesterday but didn't update. Good not great. Lesser than the 2nd prayer, better than 1st.

Much better. Would read 2nd prayer again. Much easier to follow, the poetics much more tangible and meaningful, I think.

Finished the first part. The First prayer. Not a fan. Sort of spastic, all over, hard to follow. Skipping between different timelines I think. Not a fan. Am I allowed to call it boring, or should I opt for...lacking entertainment factor(s)? Not my cup of tea. Never have been super into Wiesel, anyhow.

The concept of the story took me a minute to grasp, with the time-switching and dreams within the story. Once I figured this out, I was truly able to appreciate the non-linear storytelling and beautiful writing. The grapplings with good vs. evil and what life should be makes this an intense read that I am enjoying.

It's going to take me a minute to get adjusted to all the different time periods and POV shifts, but the pure emotion in the writing is breathtaking already
