Wow. Having a Cuban father that speaks nothing of his past, this gives so much insight. Raw and unfiltered, just like Cuban life in the poorest areas of the country. A gay man writing this in the era he wrote it is an extra later of grief and solitude that indescribable, even with what he wrote.
