Surprised this book was never turned into a movie. I can imagine del Toro directing and writing. It’s so weird and an unusual fantasy adventure novel. But I like it. So far.

Liking it thus far. A bit archaic in language but the tone is what you’d expect from an English aristocrat writing a classical romance. But I’m all for a story that follows a traditional Western hero.
