Status Updates From Taking Lottie Home

I have abandoned this book.

What a delightful story! Set in Georgia in the early 1900's, it begins like a nonfiction story of the beginning of professional baseball with 18 year-old Ben Phelps getting cut from the team along with "old-timer" Foster Lanier who is 29 and washed-up. On the train ride home they meet Lottie, who is running away from home with a traveling salesman.

Jealous how Terry brought a one leg and one arm giant with a midget sidekick into the story as believable characters. You'll have to read the story to understand how they surround the innocence of the main characters.

If I wasn't editing my own Southern Fiction story, I'd be done. Thanks Terry for such colorful, unique characters. Enjoying the read.
