Chubbie becomes internationally known and leads a wild life on the shirttails of the famous air crowd. She is wooed, vilified, and worshipped.

Chubbie flew in the first Women's flight race, and they were nicknamed the Powder Puff pilots. Many pilots died in the early years of plane development, including some of the women in that first news breaking race. Chubbie falls in love with the married pilot who she first flies with in their continental air voyage.

I am fascinated by historical fiction and biographies. Mrs. Miller, known as Chubbie, was one of the early women pilots, who forged a path for women equality. Her life was filled with danger, intrigue, adventure, and trouble.
