Considering it’s a children’s book, I’m really glad that after describing the emotional abuse and mother wound the witch inflicted on the twins to the point dissociation and forgetting their true selves, the author articulated the awful psychological impacts that come with emotional trauma

I swear Everett picks the perfect books on a complete whim. Spooky book for spooky season!
