Lagids = Ptolemies

I am reading this book piecemeal as I work through my larger framework of Greek and Hellenic studies. I am currently at the start of the section transitioning to the hellenic world and late antiquity. I will continue this book as I make progress in my other readings.

at the transition point between classiacl greece and the greek experince in the Hellenistic world post-alexander.

Wonderful. Short chapters written in an authoritative, but non-dogmatic style. Quite enjoyable as a generally chronological and diverse survey of Archaic and Classical Greek history...thus far at least!
